Kenny Osborne is currently the Industrial Hygienist for Chemical Exposure with Virginia Tech. Kenny began working at Virginia Tech as an Industrial Hygiene Technician in 2000. He assisted the Industrial Hygienists with monitoring and was the Regulated Medical Waste Coordinator. Due to restructuring in 2003, RMW moved to the Hazardous Materials group and Kenny moved with it. For more than 15 years, he collected, processed, and shipped RMW, hazardous and universal waste for the university. In 2016, Kenny joined Radford University as their Laboratory Safety Officer/Industrial Hygienist. This included being the Hazardous Waste Manager for the university. Since Kenny’s return to VT in 2017, he has been the Industrial Hygienist for Chemical Exposure as well assisting the Hazardous Materials group with their day-to-day operations and management. Recently, Kenny has become a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager. When he is not at work, Kenny really enjoys the view from his deck with a cold beverage in hand and bothering the neighbors with his crappy guitar “skills”.
